According to figures released by Media Create, for the week ending June 29, 2008 Xbox 360 hardware sales in Japan doubled over the previous week. The release of Gundam Operation Troy for the Xbox 360 helped Xbox 360 hardware sales jump from 2,555 units in the previous week to a more respectable 5,104 units. Sales of the PS3 dropped for a second successive week, down from 20,336 to 17,973 units, although sales are remaining higher than the weekly totals prior to the release of MGS4.
